AN ORIGINAL SELAH37 PRAYER
Lord, the day is ending, and I am still carrying it. I place unfinished work and unanswered questions before you. Help my body settle and my mind loosen its grip. Give me rest where rest is possible, and patience when sleep is difficult. Guide me toward help if this struggle continues. Amen.

Biblical foundation
Psalm 4 closes with trust amid distress. The language of rest invites dependence without treating sleeplessness as spiritual failure.
In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.

Study the context
Matthew 11:28–30 concerns Jesus’ invitation and yoke; it is broader than physical sleep and should not be turned into a cure claim.
