Reconciliation · PAUSE AND PRAY

For a truthful path toward repair

AN ORIGINAL SELAH37 PRAYER

God of peace, show me the part that is mine to own. Help me apologize without excuses, listen without control, and make repair where I can. Give everyone involved freedom to set safe boundaries. Where restored relationship is possible, guide us patiently. Where it is not, teach me to act truthfully and without revenge. Amen.

Biblical foundation

Jesus gives relationship repair serious weight. Romans recognizes limits: peace cannot be forced by one person.

If it is safe, write a specific apology that names harm and one concrete step toward repair.

Study the context

Reconciliation requires more than a demand for forgiveness. Safety, accountability, and changed behavior matter; abuse may make direct contact unsafe.

Read the surrounding chapters before drawing a conclusion from an individual verse. These notes are study guidance, not a promise of a particular outcome.

Need urgent support?

You deserve real support. If you might hurt yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now. Reach out to a trusted person who can stay with you. Prayer can accompany care; this tool cannot provide emergency help.

Use your country’s emergency number or a local crisis service. A trusted person, clinician, or safe community leader can help you find support.
