With the tone of a final charge, this letter urges Timothy to persevere in the gospel. Faith is passed through teaching, example, and relationships, yet it must be personally lived. Scripture equips God’s people for good work. Courage need not become harshness: the Lord’s servant should correct with patience and gentleness while remaining faithful through hardship and disappointment.
